F.E.A.R. Hints
How can I deal with the snipers?
of 25: By doing a bit of sniping of your own.
of 25: Pick up the Type-7 particle weapon that's leaning against the chair that's next to the table with body armor.
of 25: NOTE: If you have to drop a favorite weapon to pick up the particle weapon, do so -- you can get your favorite back after the sniping is done.
of 25: Ready the particle weapon and look out the same window you shot the two Replicas through, but this time look to the right to see several more windows.
of 25: There are three Replica snipers over there behind the row of windows that have light behind them.
of 25: Turn the particle weapon's zoom scope on and carefully scan the windows to see if you can spot any part of a sniper.
of 25: When you do, shoot him with your particle weapon.
of 25: The other snipers will start running around and trying to shoot you with their particle weapons after you shoot the first one, so use SlowMo to help you take them down quickly and with as few shots as possible.
of 25: Then go through a couple of doorways to get to an exposed hallway with a large hole in the floor.
of 25: NOTE: If you couldn't get all the snipers from the window earlier, you can finish up by shooting them from here.
of 25: You don't want to fall through that hole, so save your game and back up a ways.
of 25: Hit the Holster Weapon key to put your particle weapon away for now, then make a running jump across the hole.
of 25: After you make it, get your particle weapon back out and go into the next room.
of 25: There's an open window and a doorway leading outside to a large rooftop area.
of 25: This place is full of snipers, starting with one in the upper left window of the building across the way plus two on the dark rooftop over on the left.
of 25: You'll want to use SlowMo to quickly snipe all three of them through the window and/or doorway.
of 25: TIP: If you get there fast enough, the two snipers on the dark rooftop to the left won't even be facing your way, and you can easily pick them both off. Then quickly turn and do the sniper in the upper left window of the other building.
of 25: That's all until you go through the doorway and start moving across the rooftop.
of 25: When you do, more snipers will start appearing in the unboarded windows of the building ahead of you.
of 25: Use SlowMo and Zoom mode to take them down as quickly as they appear. (Use the large metal housings on the rooftop for cover when necessary to let SlowMo regenerate.)
of 25: The first one will appear in the lowest right window, and the next one will be in the window just to the right of the upper left one (where you shot the first of these window snipers). They may or may not appear at about the same time, and may reposition at nearby windows depending on where you are and how long you take to shoot them.
of 25: There are three more after that, and they'll all appear at the same time and run around the lower row of windows when you move farther across the roof.
of 25: Be sure your SlowMo is recharged and your particle weapon reloaded before you go far enough to get them to appear, then use cover to help dodge their shots as you take them down one by one.
of 25: Once they're all down, the area is free of snipers (except for you), and you can relax.
of 25: NOTE: If you dropped another gun to pick up the particle weapon earlier, you can now go back and trade the particle weapon for your original gun if you want to (though it'll mean jumping that pesky floor hole twice more).
