F.E.A.R. Hints

How can I get to the rooms past that security door?

  • 1 of 15: For now, head to the left of it to see what you can find.
  • 2 of 15: They'll close another security door a bit further down in order to force you into a nearby lab.
  • 3 of 15: Find the floor hole in one corner of the lab that has a ladder you can climb down.
  • 4 of 15: Turn on SlowMo as soon as you reach the ladder bottom and shoot down the ATC guy you can see a short way down the tunnel.
  • 5 of 15: The guy was setting prox grenades, so make sure you shoot them out from a safe distance before you move forward. (In fact, you can shoot a grenade instead of the ATC guy to blow both up at once.)
  • 6 of 15: A ways past the grenade area is a huge pipe that you have to crouch-walk under, possibly with an ATC guard on the other side.
  • 7 of 15: Just past that pipe is a fence door that you can bash or shoot the padlock off of in order to proceed.
  • 8 of 15: Walk down the pathway until you come to a room with a slightly lower floor and a gas leak over on the right.
  • 9 of 15: Proceed very slowly, since there can be anywhere from zero to two prox grenades nearby.
  • 10 of 15: There can be one down on the floor near the gas leak, and there can be one in the passage just past it.
  • 11 of 15: I'm not sure what causes the variation here, so look carefully for flashing red things on the floor and shoot them from a safe distance if you see any.
  • 12 of 15: TIP: There's a health booster in a secret area nearby.
  • 13 of 15: After that, you'll come across another huge pipe to crouch-walk under (after you shoot the two ATC guys on the pipe's other side).
  • 14 of 15: In the back of the area past that is a ladder that you can climb.
  • 15 of 15: Do so to get up to the room that's past the first security door that was closed in your face earlier.
