F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin Hints
How does this vehicle work?
of 8: Inside the power armor, you are totally protected from all hazards and enemy fire.
of 8: However, the power armor's shields aren't infinite. The shield status is indicated by the two vertical light-blue bars that are on either side of the power armor diagram in the center of your display.
of 8: Watch your shield indicators carefully, and back off to let them regenerate whenever they go down much at all. You should always fully clear an area of hostiles and then let your shields fully regenerate before moving on.
of 8: As for weapons, the regular Fire key will fire both of the power armor's chaingun arms, and the Grenade/Fire Rockets key will fire a volley of rockets.
of 8: After you fire your rockets, you'll have to wait about five seconds before you can fire them again. However, that's not much of a wait, and you can fill the gap with chaingun fire.
of 8: You can spot enemies by using the yellow targeting data that appears around them, or by using the Thermal Vision key to toggle thermal vision on, which allows you to track them by their heat signatures.
of 8: They'll go down fast under chaingun fire or rocket fire, but be careful not to let them gang up on you and knock your shields down.
of 8: You can exit the power armor at any time by holding down the Use key, but you naturally won't want to do that until after an area is cleared of enemies. You might then want to exit the power armor and look around for equipment stashes, though you probably won't need much of anything from them.
