How do you play Triple Triad?
Triple Triad is an easy game to learn, and the best way to do this is to play the game. You can collect your first cards from the student outside the elevator after the classroom scene. These cards will be terrible beyond belief and the first few times that you play you are almost guaranteed to lose. As you defeat monsters during the game you will accumulate more cards, often when Drawing Guardian Forces from bosses. Other cards you will have to win by playing.
If you look at a card you will see four numbers arranged in a diamond shape. Each relates to one side of the card -- put a card with a higher value on the appropriate side next to it and you will claim that card. If you have more cards than your opponent at the end, you will win and will be allowed to choose a number of cards of his/hers to keep. The number depends on which area of the world you are in at the time. Other rules can also be changed -- the use of elements changing the card's value is a big one. Rules can be changed by talking to the Queen of Cards, an enigmatic figure who moves around the map as the game progresses.
It is worth holding onto powerful cards as they can be changed into useful (and otherwise impossible to get) objects later on, once you have a Guardian Force with the required ability. I will not list all of the cards in the game because they are not needed to complete the game and finding them is one of the more entertaining diversions.
