Basic E-Mail Help

  • 1 of 6: New, incoming e-mail is automatically retrieved when you start the E-mail Program inside the agency's computer.
  • 2 of 6: To send e-mail, first you must know the e-mail address of the person you are wanting to contact.
  • 3 of 6: Addresses usually come in written form and appear in advertising and other documents.
  • 4 of 6: You can also search the News database by typing in one or two words. The results of your search may give you an e-mail address.
  • 5 of 6: When you know the address, always type it in all lower case letters. An example would be janedoe@address.fmisf (not JaneDoe@address.fmisf).
  • 6 of 6: If you type it correctly, the message will "auto-complete" and be ready to send.
