How can I get the key from Snorri?

  • 1 of 14: He won't let you take it.  You'll have to find a different way!
  • 2 of 14: Go to Elton's workshop and look at the mysterious invention with the hose.
  • 3 of 14: Elton tells Gilbert it's a vacuum cleaner; so pick it up.
  • 4 of 14: Go back again to Gilbert's home and into the back garden.
  • 5 of 14: Try taking some bees wax.
  • 6 of 14: Return to the tavern (you'll first release the trapped bees!).
  • 7 of 14: Use the bees wax with Snorri's key. You have now made a perfect key imprint in the bees wax.
  • 8 of 14: But an imprint is not an actual key!
  • 9 of 14: You'll need to make a copy of the key.
  • 10 of 14: Go to Vandersteen, the blacksmith, near the City Gate.  Whilst you're there, you can take Vandersteen's blacksmith's glove, or else you can get it some other time!

    NOTE: You may have previously performed all of the actions which cause Vandersteen to leave his smithy.  Do not panic; there are two ways to continue.  (A) You can perform other actions, and eventually the blacksmith will return.  (B) Return to the save before he leaves, and postpone his departure till later!
  • 11 of 14: Talk to Vandersteen if you wish and give him the key imprint.
  • 12 of 14: Vandersteen tells Gilbert that he will make him a key, but only if Gilbert can get him a dog.
  • 13 of 14: Give the seeing eye dog to the blacksmith and he will happily make a key out of the imprint.
  • 14 of 14: So now you've got the key to the secret Viking hideout.
