Gabriel Knight 3: Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned Hints
How do I get across the floor in the Temple Porch?
of 15: Basically, the floor you have to cross is a chessboard.
of 15: Look at the symbols on the other side to see where you have to go.
of 15: Do you remember what symbol is supposed to represent life?
of 15: It's the circle.
of 15: You need to head to the fifth door on the left, which has a circle on it.
of 15: But you still need to figure out how to move across the board.
of 15: Once you stepped onto the board, you would be about the right size to be a playing piece.
of 15: The people who built this temple may have been the Templars.
of 15: The Knights Templar.
of 15: So once you're on the board, move like a knight in chess. Knights can move to any square that's a 1x2 "L" away from their current position -- for example, one square up and two squares to the left or right.
of 15: Also notice the symbols on the board.
of 15: A lot of red swords will light up once you step onto the board for the first time. (You can enter the board anywhere on the nearest row.)
of 15: You need to step on each one of those swords exactly once, until you finish on the sword immediately in front of the circle door.
of 15: You should also avoid the skulls. You can safely land on all other squares once, but those squares will drop once you leave them, so you can't go back.
of 15: With some trial and error, you should be able to solve this puzzle. Just be careful not to paint yourself into a corner. If you still need it, here is one possible solution.
