How can I talk to the rat once he's awake?
1 of 6: This really doesn't make much sense, but you need to get another carrot from the top of the screen.
2 of 6: See the previous hints for details on how to do that.
3 of 6: The next step is to turn the carrot into something more useful.
4 of 6: Have Magician cast a spell on it to make an ear trumpet.
5 of 6: Then Technician can use the ear trumpet to talk to the rat. You'll get a mallet that you can use somewhere else on the screen.
6 of 6: Hit the gong with the mallet, and you'll get a pendulum for your efforts. Pick up the pendulum for a "GO" to the next screen.
