Preemptive Strike Note
1 of 2: You can go to the upper mine entrance next to the Hammer Clan village to kill off orcs from that direction before you start attacking the lower mine entrance.
2 of 2: That's really not a good idea, though, unless you're ready to go start on the lower mine entrance right afterwards. (The orcs will sometimes leave the mine and follow you around all over Nordmar if you go off to do other things first.)
