Gothic 3 Hints

Lamp oil for Ardea.

  • 1 of 8: To get this mission, you'll have to find Iomar, who's on the path that's a ways almost directly north of Cape Dun.
  • 2 of 8: Head NE from Cape Dun until you can turn north, then keep going until you find Iomar.
  • 3 of 8: Talk to him to learn that Ortega and his bandits stole the shipment of lamp oil that Iomar was taking to Ardea.
  • 4 of 8: Do the "A plague of bandits in the coastal region" mission in order to find Ortega's hideout and clear it out.
  • 5 of 8: After the bandits are dead, look around for crates of lamp oil.
  • 6 of 8: You'll find three of them on the ground near Ortega's throne, plus one more next to a treasure chest near the roast pig on a spit.
  • 7 of 8: The fifth and final crate is with all the stored goods near the campfire that's down on the lower floor.
  • 8 of 8: Return to Iomar and report Ortega's death to get 250 XP, then hand over his crates to get 500 gold, 500 XP, and Thieving +1.
