Gothic 3 Hints

The alchemist's chest.

  • 1 of 9: Talk to Marlo in Reddock to get this mission. He's somewhere along the winding path in the main cavern.
  • 2 of 9: Pay him 20 gold to tell you where to get good loot in Cape Dun.
  • 3 of 9: Return to Cape Dun and find the large house that Esiel the alchemist lives in.
  • 4 of 9: It's along the main street, and is near the cooking pot.
  • 5 of 9: The chest that you need to raid to finish this mission is the locked one that's between the two beds.
  • 6 of 9: In order to open it, you'll have to be able to pick difficult locks.
  • 7 of 9: That's something Seruk can help you with after you do his "Steal 3 golden goblets from Urkrass's warehouse" mission.
  • 8 of 9: Be sure to loot the chest when Esiel isn't in the house, or is asleep in bed. (Or right after you knock him unconscious so he can't see you do it.)
  • 9 of 9: You'll get 500 XP and Thieving +1 when you take the chest's contents.
