Gothic 3 Hints

Reddock needs a smith.

  • 1 of 11: You get this mission from Javier by telling him that you need weapons.
  • 2 of 11: There's a perfectly good smith being held captive by orcs at a nearby farm.
  • 3 of 11: Do the "Eliminate the orc patrol on the farm" mission in order to free the smith, whose name is Kliff.
  • 4 of 11: NOTE: If you freed him by killing all of the orcs, telling him he's free will only get you 250 XP. If you instead asked for his freedom after dueling Topork, you'll get 500 XP, 10 Reddock rep points, and one Rebel rep point.
  • 5 of 11: After you tell him he's free, inform him that the rebels in Reddock need a smith to get 750 XP, 10 Reddock rep points, and Smithing +1.
  • 6 of 11: Say you'll take him to Javier in Reddock, then choose the "I'll take you away" topic to get him to start following you.
  • 7 of 11: He can't teleport with you, so don't use the Reddock teleporter stone if you have it. Instead, head off on foot to the NE.
  • 8 of 11: After a bit of simple hill navigation, you'll arrive at Reddock.
  • 9 of 11: Enter the cave and make your way down to the main cavern.
  • 10 of 11: Talk to Javier to get your reward of 750 XP and 10 Reddock rep points for bringing him a smith.
  • 11 of 11: Then talk to Kliff to get 300 gold and 250 XP for rescuing him and getting him a new job.
