Gothic 3 Hints

The moonblade.

  • 1 of 5: Talk to Ismael at his smithy along the east side of town to get this mission.
  • 2 of 5: To obtain the moonblade, you'll have to finish the "Defeat Angar in the arena" mission.
  • 3 of 5: Once you have the moonblade, you'll realize that it's worth a lot more than the 600 gold that Ismael is offering for it.
  • 4 of 5: Only turn it over to him if you badly want the 1000 XP that goes along with doing so. Otherwise, either use the sword or sell it to a merchant. (Or give it to Gonzales on his Gonzales Gift Missions -- that'll get you 1000 XP plus some local rep points.)
  • 5 of 5: Actually, you can give it to Ismael, and then get it back by beating him up. (To avoid turning nearby people hostile, beat him up while he's in bed at night.)
