Gothic 3 Hints

Clean out the mine with Randall the fighter.

  • 1 of 10: Randall is sitting at a campfire a bit SE of Silden. Head SW a bit from Okara's exit and then turn NW to find him.
  • 2 of 10: After you agree to help him clear out the nearby mine, follow him into it.
  • 3 of 10: You'd better be ready to take on several minecrawlers, though.
  • 4 of 10: Randall can heal himself after every battle, so you might want to hang back and use arrows or spells to support him while he hacks at the minecrawlers directly.
  • 5 of 10: Still, things can get really crazy inside the mine when four or five minecrawlers attack at once. Randall can be killed, and you'll fail the mission if he dies.
  • 6 of 10: What you might want to do is go into the mine and kill off as many minecrawlers as you can on your own to make sure Randall doesn't get killed later when you go in with him. Randall will even help you fight them if you lure them out to his campsite. (Just don't lure too many there at a time.)
  • 7 of 10: After the main mine room is cleared, you'll get 1000 XP and four Okara rep points.
  • 8 of 10: Randall will stay there and start mining, leaving it up to you to clear out the mine's back area alone.
  • 9 of 10: Fortunately, there aren't many minecrawlers back there, and you should finish quickly, getting 1500 XP, four Okara rep points, and Strength +1.
  • 10 of 10: When you do, report to Randall that the mine is clear to get 500 XP.
