Gothic 3 Hints

Kill Zuben!

  • 1 of 11: Xardas gives you this mission after you finish "Destroy the five artifacts of Adanos!"
  • 2 of 11: Since Xardas' plan is to remove all divine power from this world, Zuben must give up his divine power of Beliar.
  • 3 of 11: Of course, he'll never do so voluntarily, and will attack you along with his two lion pals when you talk to him.
  • 4 of 11: No one else in the city is hostile at first, but everyone will turn hostile when you kill Zuben.
  • 5 of 11: You could just quickly teleport away somewhere and then forget about them, or you could teleport to the city gates and use standard tactics to finish off everyone a bit at a time.
  • 6 of 11: Or you could lead Zuben out of the city after he turns hostile. If you don't attack him or let him hit you at all, not even his lions will come with him.
  • 7 of 11: Lead him out into the desert and kill him there. No one in the city will turn hostile, not even the pet lions!
  • 8 of 11: To kill him really easily, lead him to the small brick lookout tower that's a ways north of the city entrance, then run up the steps. He'll be stuck down at the bottom of the steps, easy to shoot.
  • 9 of 11: NOTE: As you're leading Zuben out of the city, don't ever get so far ahead of him that he gives up on you and turns back. If that happens, he'll forget that he's hostile to you, and you'll have to attack him to get him going again.
  • 10 of 11: You'll get 5000 XP and two Rebel rep points when Zuben dies.
  • 11 of 11: Be sure to loot his body to get his staff if you didn't get it by talking to him before committing to Xardas' path.
