Gothic 3 Hints

Kill King Rhobar!

  • 1 of 11: Xardas gives you this mission after you finish "Destroy the five artifacts of Adanos!"
  • 2 of 11: Since Xardas' plan is to remove all divine power from this world, Rhobar must give up his divine power of Innos.
  • 3 of 11: Of course, he'll never do so voluntarily, and will attack you along with everyone else in Vengard when you talk to him.
  • 4 of 11: He's a very powerful fighter, so you'll want to make a quick run out the throne room's side door to the left and up some stairs to gain enough breathing room to use a teleporter stone to escape.
  • 5 of 11: When you're ready, teleport into Vengard's temple and finish off the guys in there.
  • 6 of 11: Then run over to the castle area and clear it out bit by bit, using retreat-and-heal-when-necessary tactics.
  • 7 of 11: You may not even have to fight Rhobar if you manage to kill enough other guys to cause everyone to flee before you get to him.
  • 8 of 11: If that happens, look around for where he fled and dropped his stuff.
  • 9 of 11: NOTE: If you didn't get his scepter by talking to him before committing to Xardas' path, you'll have to kill him (chase him down as he flees if necessary) to get it.
  • 10 of 11: Another way to handle the whole situation is to summon a demon while in the throne room and let it tear up Rhobar and his supporters. They won't turn hostile to you unless you attack them. Keep summoning demons when they're killed until Rhobar's support is greatly weakened, then finish him off.
  • 11 of 11: In any case, you get 5000 XP and five Hashishin rep points when Rhobar dies or flees.
