Gothic 3: Forsaken Gods Hints
Knock-Out Tips
1 of 4: In any town, you can attack most people who aren't guards and knock them unconscious without anyone else turning hostile. Always quicksave before attacking someone, though, in case something goes wrong.
2 of 4: You'll get some XP for the knock-out, and can loot the unconscious person before he wakes up. He won't hold a grudge, and will still talk to you, trade with you, or whatever he would have done before you attacked him.
3 of 4: After knocking someone out and looting him, you can quicksave and then quickrestore to immediately restore him to full health. You can then fight him and knock him out again, but you won't get any XP or misc. items for it. You'll only get items he has that respawn, such as his weapon.
4 of 4: Some people have valuable respawning weapons, and you can make a lot of money off of them by knocking them out, looting them, quicksaving and quickrestoring, and then repeating the process. For instance, the trader who hangs out near the bridge at Silden's NW end has respawning ranger bows and longswords (though he seems to run out of bows before long).
