How do I get out of the engine room?
- 1 of 19: Glottis will tell you that the engines just aren't quite powerful enough to get you out of here.
- 2 of 19: That's because there's too much weight on board.
- 3 of 19: Try getting rid of some of that excess weight.
- 4 of 19: Like, half of the ship's weight.
- 5 of 19: Have you played with the anchor controls? There is one button on each side of the engine room for the anchor on that side of the ship.
- 6 of 19: Those anchors could do a lot of damage to the ship if they got in the right place (or wrong place, depending on your perspective).
- 7 of 19: If you just pull the anchors straight up and down, they're never going to do much.
- 8 of 19: You'll need to find a way of getting the anchors to go along the whole surface of the ship.
- 9 of 19: Start by getting them tangled up.
- 10 of 19: First, raise both anchors if they are not currently raised.
- 11 of 19: Then, drop the port (left) anchor, while the ship is on the right of the two possible positions. (You can use walk up to the engine controls and move the ship to the left or right, even if you can't back it out yet.)
- 12 of 19: Then, move the ship to the left and drop the starboard (right) anchor. The two anchors should be on top of each other.
- 13 of 19: And they will be permanently tangled.
- 14 of 19: Raise the starboard anchor, bringing up the starboard anchor with it.
- 15 of 19: Now that the anchors are out of the water, you can do some real damage.
- 16 of 19: But first you need to bring the anchors a little closer to the side of the ship.
- 17 of 19: Use your scythe on the tangled anchors to bring them in.
- 18 of 19: Now, raise the port anchor. The pair of anchors will cut across the ship, cutting the ship in half.
- 19 of 19: You can now back the ship out of port to "safety".
