1 of 5: If you have never played this part before, you do not have to worry about knowing what to do. The developers did not expect you to understand what was happening to the elevator. That is why you can survive the fall.
2 of 5: If you want to know how to survive the fall without losing most of your life, read on.
3 of 5: The key to it is to take the ladder instead of the elevator.
4 of 5: There is a maintenance ladder on the wall on the right (as you would be facing to get on the elevator). Hop over the railing and onto the ladder and climb down.
5 of 5: You could also take the elevator down until it stalls. Quickly jump off and onto the maintenance ladder, then climb down.
