How do I get through the initial laser/explosion defenses of the rocket lab?

  • 1 of 9: Do not touch the red lasers that cross the stairs that lead up to the rocket's main control lab.
  • 2 of 9: See the explosive packs jammed into the rocks above you? Triggering the lasers will result in instant death.
  • 3 of 9: Instead, you have to circumvent the lasers.
  • 4 of 9: Two boxes nearby might help.
  • 5 of 9: You need to climb the boxes to get to the door without triggering the lasers.
  • 6 of 9: The best way to place the boxes is to pull the smaller box (height-wise) out of the corner it is in and push the larger box up against the same wall that the door is on.
  • 7 of 9: Then push the smaller box against the larger box and begin climbing.
  • 8 of 9: Stay crouched whenever possible and use the walk modifier to keep you from sliding around.
  • 9 of 9: Once up, walk through the doors and into the lab.
