How do I make it to the far platform in the generator room?

  • 1 of 11: There are a couple of ways to make it to the other side.
  • 2 of 11: The hard way is to get the pistons moving.
  • 3 of 11: You will find the button on the generator control panel. The control panel is on a platform overlooking the piston area. There is a ladder nearby that you can take up to get there.
  • 4 of 11: Once the pistons are moving, you can time your jumps from piston to piston to make it across.
  • 5 of 11: As for the other way, you may see a red ladder that leads up to the platform on the other side of the room.
  • 6 of 11: Take out the wooden box so you can see the entire length of the ladder. It ends just above some green military boxes.
  • 7 of 11: Unfortunately, those military boxes are too high to jump onto. If only you had a smaller box to jump from.
  • 8 of 11: You are in luck. There are some smaller boxes on the control panel platform that you can push around.
  • 9 of 11: Push either one of the boxes down onto the ground floor and push it over to the military boxes below the ladder.
  • 10 of 11: Jump from box to box and up the ladder.
  • 11 of 11: You could also get up onto the base of the giant piston nearest the ladder and make a running jump to the green boxes from there (and hit the Crouch key just as you land on them). Using the small box is easier, though.
