How do I survive the room with the computer pillars and a tripmined door?

  • 1 of 11: Once the tripmines detonate, the room will go to chaos.
  • 2 of 11: The door will explode open, letting about 4 to 5 soldiers into the room.
  • 3 of 11: At the same time, the explosion will cause the glass cases nearby, both containing alien grunts, to raise up.
  • 4 of 11: There is going to be a big fight and you do not want to be in the middle of it.
  • 5 of 11: The easiest way to do things is to run down the only hallway in the room. It leads to a small room overlooking the main room.
  • 6 of 11: You will pick up some tripmines on the way. Set one in the hallway so that no one can follow you.
  • 7 of 11: Run up into the overlook and shoot out a set tripmine to get things going. Duck down to avoid confrontation.
  • 8 of 11: Regardless of how quiet it is at first, wait. It takes a minute for everyone to show up for the battle. You will know it has started because of the noise. (Walk toward the observation window while crouched down if you have to to get things going.)
  • 9 of 11: After the battle has subsided, listen for whoever is left.
  • 10 of 11: It is usually an alien grunt. He will start exploring around (you can hear him walking), and he should try to head up into the overlooking room, but your tripmine should stop him.
  • 11 of 11: Be sure to grab all of the ammo off of the fallen soldiers.
