How do I get a scientist out, and where do I take him?
1 of 11: The scientists will not be able to make it through the rotating machinery. As you can see, a few have already tried without luck.
2 of 11: The rotating arms of the machine must be stopped. There must be a control panel nearby.
3 of 11: The control panel for the machine is on the other side of the room, meaning you will have to run past the dangerous spurs that the machine wields.
4 of 11: It just takes some simple timing to make it through.
5 of 11: I've found it easiest to run and jump across the bed on the left side of the room.
6 of 11: It is a bit more difficult, though, timing where the spurs will stop. You do not want the scientist to get injured as he runs through.
7 of 11: Hit the control panel just before the spurs are entirely out of the way of the scientist's path. You should have a relatively clear walkway.
8 of 11: Grab a scientist and begin heading back towards the main lobby.
9 of 11: The shortest way from the scientists' room to the lobby is through the headcrab cage room, but no scientist will go through that room unless all the headcrabs are already dead.
10 of 11: Once you're in the lobby, move towards the exit doors. The scientist will run up to the retinal scanner to let you out.
11 of 11: Beware, just as you exit the complex, of a soldier off to your right and two auto-turrets on the roof of the exit.
