How do I get through the tripmined storage building?
1 of 20: The storage building has been painstakingly boobytrapped with a whole lot of tripmines. Laser beams shoot out everywhere and in every direction.
2 of 20: This is a very difficult situation. If you trigger one tripmine, the entire place explodes.
3 of 20: Therefore, you must proceed with extreme care.
4 of 20: Getting past the first few mines is relatively simple. Jump and duck to get around them. If you need to, use some of the boxes nearby to get over some of the laser beams.
5 of 20: Once you enter the main room, you will see that this area in the game can be very challenging.
6 of 20: You have to reach the freight elevator in the very center of the room. The entrance to the elevator has been well set with tripmines, so it is impossible to jump or crawl onto the elevator.
7 of 20: First, when you enter the main room, you want to deal with any aliens you see quickly. They will inadvertently trigger the mines when they start chasing after you.
8 of 20: Always move slowly when moving past or under the blue laser beams.
9 of 20: Be careful around boxes. Never break any boxes unless you have to. You may not be able to see if a tripmine is fixed to the other side of the box.
10 of 20: You might not be able to walk onto the elevator, but you could theoretically jump or fall in from overhead.
11 of 20: Where could you possibly jump from?
12 of 20: There is freight lift right in front of the entrance to the elevator. If it were raised, you might be able to make the leap over the two laser beams guarding the elevator.
13 of 20: The controls for the lift are in a room overlooking the main room. Find the staircase and enter the room with the controls in it.
14 of 20: It won't be a good idea to push the button without doing something first.
15 of 20: A large box is on the lift that, when raised, would trigger a tripmine that's set near the top of the lift.
16 of 20: Use your shotgun to take out the box.
17 of 20: Now you can push the button and hop on the freight lift.
18 of 20: It takes a pretty good jump to make it over the two laser beams. Be sure to save your game before trying to make the jump.
19 of 20: Once on the freight elevator, push the button to drop down into a storage garage.
20 of 20: If the button doesn't seem to work, move right up against it and try again.
