Half-Life Hints

Where do all of the Level B portals lead?

  • 1 of 9: Port 1 takes you to a forgotten room with tons of headcrabs and some radioactive waste. The floor grating is not very strong, so you will drop through. You will also see your old friend the Administrator casually walking away. The portal in this room returns you to the initial starting point.
  • 2 of 9: Port 2 is the portal that allows you to progress. It will drop you on the second subdivision up on the reactor. Be sure you time everything so that you teleport right above one of the rotating platforms, or else you'll fall back to the reactor floor.
  • 3 of 9: Port 3 leads to a nice little supply room without any direct enemies. Grab the supplies and jump into the nearby portal. You will end up at the initial starting point once again.
  • 4 of 9: Port 4 is the next progression portal, on the second subdivision of the reactor. It deposits you on the top subdivision of the nuclear reactor. Timing is everything once again.
  • 5 of 9: Port 5 drops you into a small resupply room with three scientists who are discussing the current situation.
  • 6 of 9: Port 6 takes on a wild fall through an old portion of the reactor facilities. You should not be injured very badly and you will not hit the ground. Rather, you will hit another portal that teleports back to the initial starting point.
  • 7 of 9: Port 7 is the final progression port. It takes you to a remote portion of the reactor core.
  • 8 of 9: Port 8 drops you in a small room with an HEV Charger. Be careful; alien slaves will begin teleporting in around you. It's best to just teleport out of this room and back to the starting point. (After getting the gluon gun ammo, that is.)
  • 9 of 9: Port 9 will just kill you.
