How do I keep the "gatekeeping" scientist alive?
1 of 6: The scientist who is manning the controls for the gateway to Xen must be kept alive if you are to succeed.
2 of 6: There are a few things to consider in order to draw fire away from the scientist's area. His protective shields can only protect him so much.
3 of 6: Be on or near the platform that you will be jumping from. This will draw the alien controllers' fire towards you, hopefully drawing them away from the scientist. (If this doesn't work, you can try standing closer to the scientist, but be sure not to accidentally shoot his shield yourself.)
4 of 6: Also, grab the security guard and bring him along when you enter the chamber for the first time.
5 of 6: Drop the security guard just inside the door so that he will cover the far side of the gateway chamber. That way, alien controllers that end up spawning on the far side of the chamber will be taken care of by the guard.
6 of 6: Also, make good use of the gluon gun in keeping the controller population under control. When it runs out of ammo, switch to the trusty old Mp5.
