Half-Life Hints
How do I reach the teleporter?
1 of 8: First and foremost, you have to be safe. There are quite a few aliens around and a few will teleport in.
2 of 8: Each time you move to a different level up towards the portal, expect a few alien slaves to meet you on the level itself, a single alien slave on the next elevator up, and three alien controllers flying around. Take care of all of the enemies before trying to move on up towards the portal.
3 of 8: Once you have exterminated the current round of aliens, move towards the nearest rotating elevator and take it up. Jump off even if you are trying to fight it out with some alien slaves or controllers. Trying to fight and spin is close to impossible.
4 of 8: If you need cover, there is usually a recess in one of the walls. There is almost always a health tube in the recess as well, so fill up.
5 of 8: Once you know what to expect alien-wise and you know how the elevators work, it is quite simple to make it up to the teleporter.
6 of 8: If you need more ammo or armor, take one of the red-lit passages that are accessible via the walkways at the top of the first lift.
7 of 8: Problems may arise when you get to the very top, just above the teleporter. If for some reason you are kind of stuck and nothing is rotating, try crouching to free yourself from the glitch in the game.
