How do I win the first stage of combat?
1 of 4: The first stage is out in the open where you teleport in.
2 of 4: I recommend using Mp5 grenades to really soften her up and to take care of any newborn headcrabs nearby. Once she has been beaten in this stage, she will run off and break through some alien vines and into the next stage.
3 of 4: If you run short of grenades, you can use the hornet gun to shoot at the ground right under her huge sac. The hornets should swerve up and do some damage.
4 of 4: You can do this fairly safely from behind the rock wall that's along one side of the area. (You can also long-jump to a floating rock with a healing pool from behind the rock wall.)
