Can I destroy the gargantua in this area?
1 of 3: Only if you use a whole lot of valuable ammo doing so.
2 of 3: There's no gimmick for destroying the gargantua here. You're just supposed to lure him out of his cave and then run in and jump across the big pit while he's not looking.
3 of 3: Before you do that, you might want to visit the healing pool down a nearby small cave branch, and also go for the ammo that's up a narrow side ledge near the entrance to gargantua's cave.
