How do I get past the erratic electrical wire near the exit from the elevator?
1 of 14: That electrical wire will not let anything get past it, as you may have noticed when the headcrabs started after you.
2 of 14: Perhaps there is another way around.
3 of 14: The only doors you can get to are locked, so no luck there.
4 of 14: There is a vent nearby, though. Maybe if you broke into it, you might find a way around.
5 of 14: The vent leads to two places.
6 of 14: One way leads to a small duct with a fan and few a headcrabs in it, and the other leads into the staff room that is behind the locked doors.
7 of 14: Neither circumvents the live wire, though.
8 of 14: Maybe if you were to cut the power to it, you could get past it.
9 of 14: Look around in the staff room.
10 of 14: You will find a lever that will cut the power in a side room. Pull it.
11 of 14: The wire will be dead. You can exit through the previously-locked doors since you can unlock them now.
12 of 14: If you need ammo, follow the vent back to the fan duct where the fan is now stationary.
13 of 14: You can't bash the first grate leading to the fan room that you come across, so find a dark passage leading to one that you can bash.
14 of 14: There is a dead guard in there with two bullet clips. Take them.
