Houndeyes
Houndeyes are small, puppy-like creatures that curiously bounce around you. Once they get close enough, they will give off a shrill scream and fire a crippling sonic burst at you. Houndeyes tend to attack in packs. Be careful not to fall for their rather clever little traps.
Quite often, a single houndeye will approach, maybe fire off a sonic burst, and then run away. If you chase him, you might find yourself in the good company of an entire group of houndeyes. Just be on the alert and pay attention to seemingly simple situations. Houndeyes will usually die after a single shotgun blast. If a houndeye is powering up his sonic burst, aim for him first.
