Half-Life Hints

The security guard behind the metal fencing is about to be attacked!

  • 1 of 7: The security guard is going to need your help if he is to survive.
  • 2 of 7: Pull out your handgun if you have not already.
  • 3 of 7: Take aim at the zombie that is about to attack the security guard and let him have it. Don't worry too much about ammo. You will get it back in a moment.
  • 4 of 7: You really only need to shoot the zombie once to distract it from the guard, anyway.
  • 5 of 7: Once the zombie is dead, the security guard will unlock the gate and let you in.
  • 6 of 7: There is some ammunition in the next room, but have the guard follow you in, as a headcrab will drop from the ceiling. The guard will probably have better aim than you will. (Besides, everyone but you always has an infinite supply of ammo.)
  • 7 of 7: Have the guard follow you after you are done, and be sure to grab the shotgun if you haven't already.
