How can I make it up the stairs and avoid being hit by the auto-turret?

  • 1 of 6: To begin with, it would be nice if you had at least one security guard with you. Two would be ideal since you will probably lose one of them. They will help draw fire away from you.
  • 2 of 6: Race up the stairs as quickly as possible and wait against the wall where the turret is.
  • 3 of 6: If you have to, take out any of the headcrabs around on the ground. One of your guards will probably stop to help. He will probably also be killed by the turret.
  • 4 of 6: Slide out slowly until you have an angle into the recess where the turret resides. Toss a grenade in to disable it.
  • 5 of 6: Run back down the stairs and see who is still alive. If any of your security guards are dead, grab their ammo clips.
  • 6 of 6: An alternative way to solve this problem is to find the auto-turret's off switch.
