How can I get a rollermine to Alyx?

  • 1 of 13: You'll need to get to an area where you can pick up a rollermine with the gravity gun, then find a way to get back to Alyx's room.
  • 2 of 13: Start by going through the force field that Alyx just lowered.
  • 3 of 13: Crouch-walk your way slowly and carefully along the narrow left ledge.
  • 4 of 13: Take a right at the dead stalker and broken scanner, then drop down to the lower ledge.
  • 5 of 13: Look around in the huge room beyond until you see a Combine recharger on a wall near a floor a ways below you and to the right.
  • 6 of 13: At this point, there's another painful shortcut available, plus the slightly longer damage-free way.
  • 7 of 13: When you get down to that lower floor, use the gravity gun to throw the big piece of debris off the little elevator, then wait until it's back on your floor.
  • 8 of 13: Run across it and use the recharger to get up to 100 health and 200 armor, then check out the platform that's just past the recharger.
  • 9 of 13: It has a push-button gadget on it, and there's a large tube full of rollermines just above it.
  • 10 of 13: Try using the push-button gadget (right after quicksaving).
  • 11 of 13: Every time you press that button, several rollermines are dropped in a heap on the platform.
  • 12 of 13: Needless to say, they'll immediately come after you!
  • 13 of 13: Once you have a rollermine held with your gravity gun, go take the little lift up to get back to Alyx.
