Half-Life 2: Episode One Hints
How can I make it back up to the floor above?
1 of 8: From where you drop down, dive and find the underwater passage that leads under the metal wall.
2 of 8: Get your crowbar or shotgun out, then surface on the other side and go up the steps.
3 of 8: Kill the headcrab in the niche to the right with your chosen weapon, then look through the nearby shed's window to find another headcrab. (A shotgun blast or two is best for him.)
4 of 8: Go along the walkway to find yet another power-lock door that won't open. This theme is getting a little old!
5 of 8: Unfortunately, when you turn the power on, all of the water in the room will be electrified by a malfunctioning piece of machinery.
6 of 8: If you do this before you figure out how to get across the room without touching the water, you can just flip the switch again to turn the power back off.
7 of 8: Once you've got it all worked out and have done a few test runs, flip the switch to turn the power on, then use your already-tested route to get across to the power-lock door unzapped.
8 of 8: Past the door, go up the stairs and through another open door to find yourself on the floor above.
