Half-Life 2: Episode One Hints
It's fixed, but how can I get back into the control room?
1 of 6: Go back to where you dropped down (and where the machine was raised up).
2 of 6: You see that little lift? It must have gone back up when full power was restored.
3 of 6: You need it to come back down so you can get on it, and then to go back up again.
4 of 6: If the lift is always up when all three bouncy-orb generators are powered, then you'll need to grab the orb back out of one of them so the lift will lower.
5 of 6: Then get on the lift and fire the orb back into the generator so the lift will rise again.
6 of 6: TIP: Stand next to the lift and suck the orb out of the leftmost generator. That makes it easiest to return the orb after you're on the lift.
