The Orange Box: Half-Life 2: Episode Two Hints
Preparation Tips
of 8: The first thing to do is visit all four supply buildings and see what all supplies you can use now.
of 8: Buildings 3 and 4 are going to be blasted by striders later on, and their supplies scattered, so you might want to move any unused supplies in them to a safe location. (A spot behind or off to the side of the buildings is usually good enough.)
of 8: Note, though, that the resistance lunkheads may sometimes put the health and armor supplies back on the shelves.
of 8: As for the gun and ammo supplies, you might want to move them to a strategic stockpile location.
of 8: A good spot for at least some of them would be in one of the two small supply buildings near the base. The last few fights will almost certainly happen near the base, and you'll probably be running low on ammo by then.
of 8: If you thought to carry the RPG you found inside the base outside before you drove out, you could add it to your stash.
of 8: It would be nice to be able to stockpile sticky bombs in various strategic locations (like near the three strider entry points), but dropped bombs will usually vanish after a random amount of time has passed.
of 8: In order to do a bomb stockpile somewhere, you'd have to take a whole lot of bombs there and then wait awhile to see if any of them become permanent. Some few might, but most won't.
