The Orange Box: Half-Life 2: Episode Two Hints
General Antlion Attack Tips
1 of 7: There are two sentry turrets in the area, one of which starts out near tunnel 36, and the other of which is near tunnel 12.
2 of 7: There are also several hopper mines in the large trash bins between tunnels 12 and 24, and to the left of the unlabeled "breach" tunnel that's left of tunnel 36.
3 of 7: You won't really need them until near the end, but you might as well set a couple of them near the vortigaunt before the attack starts just in case an antlion gets to him while you're busy elsewhere.
4 of 7: When a tunnel is spawning antlions, you should quickly set up one turret to face into the tunnel, keeping it back a ways to make sure the antlions can't easily get to it and knock it over.
5 of 7: As for the other turret, you should hold onto it and move it around so it can have a better angle of attack on the antlions.
6 of 7: For best results, hold it up high and move partway into a tunnel. (Just make sure no antlions manage reach you.)
7 of 7: If you need both of your turrets set down somewhere, get out your shotgun or SMG and use it to help blast antlions. You can always restock on ammo from the crates between antlion attacks.
