What trick is there for dealing with the chopper now?
1 of 6: As you approach the open gate in the airboat, quicksave your game.
2 of 6: Go through the gate and onward very slowly to get the chopper to appear ahead of you before the gate can close behind you.
3 of 6: As soon as the chopper appears, turn around and go back through the gate, then either quickly hide behind one of the gate's large open doors or zoom on around the building's corner.
4 of 6: If you're fast enough, the chopper won't follow you and fire on you, but will instead get caught in an invisible snare that's just above the gate.
5 of 6: If the chopper does manage to get past the snare and start firing at you, you can zoom over to the formerly padlocked door and make your way through the whole building area again. When you reach the gate control tower, you can use the window guns to destroy the chopper.
6 of 6: However, it's much easier to just ensnare it. To get that done successfully, you may have to slowly drive the airboat through the open gate backwards while looking behind you, then start speeding forward the instant you see the chopper rise up.
