What's the shortcut?
1 of 6: Instead of heading down the "B4" corridor, look around to find three barrels that you can use to make a 2-1 barrel staircase.
2 of 6: Make your barrel staircase against the wall just to the right of the mounted gun so that you can get up onto its floor.
3 of 6: Once you're up there, you can go up the nearby stairs and continue along the regular route to the control room, or you can take another shortcut.
4 of 6: For this shortcut, you'll need to use the gravity gun to pull all three of your barrels up to your floor.
5 of 6: Set them upright again if necessary, then carry them along the walkway to where you can stack them against the left wall next to the second overhead walkway (not the one that's near the mounted gun).
6 of 6: Use the barrels to get up on that walkway, then turn right and go along the walkway to reach the control room.
