1 of 3: As soon as you get the .357, run forward so that you're standing next to the two supply crates that are near the door.
2 of 3: Switch to the SMG and quickly shoot the cops in the head as they appear in the doorway.
3 of 3: You can immediately resupply on SMG ammo from the cops' weapons, thereby saving the rarer .357 ammo for when you need it.
