How can I get this big junky gate open?

  • 1 of 12: Examine the gate for any interesting features.
  • 2 of 12: It's apparently remotely controlled, since there's a power line running from it to the nearby red shed.
  • 3 of 12: So explore the red shed to see where the wire goes.
  • 4 of 12: You'll find that it passes through three electrical devices, one of which has green lights on.
  • 5 of 12: The reason that it has green lights on and the others don't is because it has a battery in its battery slot (and the others don't).
  • 6 of 12: So pick up the battery and toss it aside.
  • 7 of 12: Oops! That didn't work! The gate is still closed.
  • 8 of 12: Remember that you need to open the gate. That means you need to power all three of these things.
  • 9 of 12: So leave the first battery where it is (or put it back if you removed it), then start looking for more.
  • 10 of 12: When you find a battery, carry it to an empty power slot and move forward until the battery is automatically placed and the green lights come on.
  • 11 of 12: Once all three battery slots are filled, the gate will start opening.
  • 12 of 12: NOTE: As some contributors have pointed out, you don't have to open the gate to get the jeep past it. You can instead use the gravity gun to blast the jeep over the wall to the left of the gate, but that's really hard to do (especially compared to how easy it is to get the gate open).
