Combat Tips
of 7: I've found that the best way to handle this whole combat is to stay mobile, moving around and shooting soldiers as they appear at their two entry points (preferably from a fairly safe distance).
of 7: Every now and then, charge them and shoot them down quickly, then use their dropped guns to replenish your ammo (usually pulse rifle ammo), and then run back to Alyx's booth to recharge at the booth's health and armor stations.
of 7: Note that each of the two entry points has some fairly good cover that you can use when assaulting the soldiers there. The left entry point has two green dumpsters next to each other, and the right entry point has a fair-sized chunk of rubble.
of 7: New soldiers aren't dropped at an entry point until all the soldiers from the previous drop at that point are dead.
of 7: So kill every soldier at an entry point except for one, and then injure him. He'll tend to stay under cover a lot, and you can pretty much ignore that entry point until either the soldier gets bold and charges Alyx's booth, or your team members see him and finish him off.
of 7: Remember to use *all* of your weapons. There's no need to save any crossbow bolts, .357 slugs, SMG grenades, RPG rockets, or anything "special" like that for later.
of 7: Another thing you could try is staying under cover at the generator booth all the time, sending your squad out and using mostly distance-shooting weapons (especially the pistol) to injure soldiers from afar. If you try this, watch for any soldiers who approach the booth while you're hiding or reloading -- shotgun them quickly!
