.357 Magnum

  • Damage: 40 per round

    This has been my very favorite distance-shooting weapon since the original Half-Life. It combines great long-distance accuracy with a terrific punch! It's just too bad that its ammo reserve got so shortchanged in this game (it was 36 back in Half-Life). Use the .357 for any long-distance powerhouse shooting, especially against powerful foes that you don't want to get close to.

    NOTE: This is a good weapon to shoot enemy grenades with, since it will knock the grenades back with much more force than other weapons will. You have to be very good with the .357 to do this, though.
