How can I get past this force field?
1 of 8: Look at what's on the other side of the force field.
2 of 8: Look to the left of the three energy conduits.
3 of 8: Doesn't that device with the single energy orb bouncing around in it look familiar?
4 of 8: It's just like the power generators that you helped Alyx and Barney take out in previous chapters.
5 of 8: This generator is powering the force field that's blocking your path, so knock out its bouncy energy orb.
6 of 8: Or, since it's too far away for the gravity gun to blast out, pull it out with Secondary Fire and then throw it.
7 of 8: Remember this technique, since it'll come in handy in several other force-field-blocked areas.
8 of 8: NOTE: If you pull an orb from an energy conduit and then toss it at an empty force field generator, it'll power up the force field again. This is never useful, though, since the Combine soldiers can always move freely through these force fields.
