Getting the Super Gravity Gun

  • You can play through the entire game with the souped-up version of the gravity gun if you type in the following three codes in order:

    map d3_citadel_04
    changelevel d1_trainstation_01
    give weapon_physcannon

    Of course, you can change the destination of the "changelevel" command to start playing wherever you want to. The given code starts you at the very beginning with the G-Man intro.

    WARNINGS: If you do start at the G-Man intro, don't use the "give" command listed above until after he's gone and you're on the train, or the game may freeze. Also, whenever you kill any enemy who normally drops a weapon, his weapon will dissolve so that you can't pick it up (even if you kill him with something other than the gravity gun). The game will severely twitch and then crash if you try to pick up the jeep with the gravity gun, and freaky things will happen if you try to pick up any sentry guns or rollermines (including Dog's "ball"). There's also a big screw-up with the first antlion guard, and you'll have to use cheats to get bugbait and move on past the vortigaunt camp.

    NOTE: You've also got to watch out for some truly wacky effects. For instance, try repeatedly shooting the civilians in the train station with the gravity gun. Also, many enemies vanish the instant you kill them with certain weapons (like the SMG).
