Half-Life 2 Hints
Section 4: Rooftop Escape (d1_trainstation_04)
1 of 12: At the top of the stairs is the attic, but you're not safe yet.
2 of 12: Find the big hole in the attic wall that leads out onto the roofs and go through it.
3 of 12: Run straight forward and up a wooden ramp to get onto a roof where you can duck behind some stuff for cover from the pistol-packing cops who are chasing you.
4 of 12: ALTERNATIVE: You can head left as soon as you exit the attic to have more cover while going for the ramp.
5 of 12: NOTE: Scanners will be constantly watching you and relaying your location to the cops, but they won't actually attack you. You can destroy the scanners by hitting them several times with paint cans, but it's hard to do and not really worth the trouble.
6 of 12: Slide down the slanted edge of the roof you're on to get to a small gap bridged by two wooden planks.
7 of 12: Cross them and follow the ledge along until you reach a safe niche you can duck into.
8 of 12: There's at least one cop shooting at you from down on the street, but you don't need to worry about that -- it takes quite a few pistol hits to kill you.
9 of 12: Keep going carefully but quickly along until you find two small open windows on the right that lead into another attic.
10 of 12: Head down the attic stairs and through a doorway to find yourself surrounded by cops!
11 of 12: Don't worry, as this is unavoidable and you will be rescued.
