Section 8: Showdown at the Dam (d1_canals_13)
1 of 11: As soon as you enter this chapter section, stop the airboat and save your game. You're about to fight one heck of a battle!
2 of 11: When you exit the tunnel, you'll be in a large, open arena-like area near the dam where the chopper is parked.
3 of 11: You can start by gathering supplies from crates scattered about the place, but when you move about halfway across the area, the chopper will take off and the final battle with it will begin!
4 of 11: Like many other major combats in the game, this battle has a standard strategy and a special strategy.
5 of 11: After the chopper crashes and burns, save your game and then search around the entire arena area at your leisure for supplies (including an oddly placed frag grenade pair).
8 of 11: However you get up there, kill off the cops near the storage building and then go inside.
9 of 11: After shooting two more cops, you'll be able to plunder one of the greatest supply areas in the entire game! There's *tons* of health, armor, and ammo (and you can finally fill up on SMG grenades).
10 of 11: When you're done there, you need to find the dam controls and use them to arrange an exit from this long ol' chapter.
