What's the best way to get through all of this?

  • 1 of 16: It's possible to zoom through it all at top speed without slowing or stopping, but it's a long obstacle course, and the probability of messing up at some point and having to do it all over again is very high. So in the strategy outlined below, I advocate doing things in "sections" with stopping points for quicksaves along the way.
  • 2 of 16: To start with, stop the boat at the turn past the big gate you just came through and look carefully at the bridge that's ahead in the distance.
  • 3 of 16: There are two cops on that bridge that you should shoot down from a distance with the pistol. If you stay far enough away, they won't even be able to shoot back.
  • 4 of 16: After they're down, equip the SMG, return to the airboat, and quicksave before approaching the bridge.
  • 5 of 16: As you pass under the bridge, an APC on a raised road ahead will start firing homing rockets at you.
  • 6 of 16: It's best to pass under the right half of the bridge and head forward at full speed until you can turn right and pass under the left half of another bridge (running over a rappelling cop as you do).
  • 7 of 16: Head for the wall that's straight ahead of the second bridge and stop the airboat there for another quicksave.
  • 8 of 16: When you come to the next bridge, go under its right half and try to avoid the barnacle while running over both of the cops that rappel down.
  • 9 of 16: Stop the airboat a short ways past that bridge and do another quicksave (after SMG-ing any surviving cops and collecting their ammo).
  • 10 of 16: When you go under the next bridge, don't stop and shoot any surviving cops -- just keep going and head toward the next rocket-firing APC.
  • 11 of 16: Turn right as soon as you can while approaching that APC, and you'll come to a barricade that some cops have set aflame.
  • 12 of 16: As soon as you're through the tunnel, swerve left and drive to the wall so you can quicksave again.
  • 13 of 16: NOTE: You can now get off the airboat and head back to the above-mentioned secret area on foot, though you'll have to kill the cops near the flaming barrier and make a mad dash when you get near the APC to avoid getting shot. (It is possible to make it there and back without taking much damage, though.)
  • 14 of 16: When you're ready, turn and face the final stretch of this challenging run, which has an APC on a bridge at the other end of the area just waiting for you to come in range of its rockets.
  • 15 of 16: What you'll want to do is drive along the left side of this area, starting by going into the structure over on the left that has a roof on it.
  • 16 of 16: Keep going straight and crashing through wooden barriers until you make it to the safety of the tunnel beyond, where it'll finally be over.
