Bridge Combat Tips

  • 1 of 7: You could handle this APC the same way you did the one in the previous chapter.
  • 2 of 7: If you want to destroy it, move forward a bit and shoot it (and its missiles) with the gauss gun until you're out of charge, then retreat back around the bend until fully recharged. Repeat until done.
  • 3 of 7: Or you could use the other tactic of charging toward the bridge and only shooting the missiles that the APC fires at you until you're safely under the bridge. However, I always got more damaged doing it this way.
  • 4 of 7: There is a rather interesting third way to handle the situation. Throughout this chapter section, the APCs seem to be suffering from a very odd glitch that amounts to this: they can't see you until after you've seen them.
  • 5 of 7: You can use this glitch here by turning the airboat around as soon as you leave the tunnel, then driving into sight of the bridge backwards! It's very hard to steer properly while driving backwards, so be sure to quicksave before you try.
  • 6 of 7: If you can make it under the bridge without turning around or getting stuck on something, you can quickly shoot down the nearby cop and be safe.
  • 7 of 7: Then you can either turn around and drive onwards (facing forward), or you can very slowly edge out from under the bridge to where you can just barely see one little part of the APC and shoot it repeatedly until it blows up.
